Overview
This policy explains how tagday.net ("the calendar", "we") handles information when you visit the site. The calendar is a free tool that shows today's date and lets you browse months and years. There is no account, no sign-up and no login, and we do not ask you for your name, email address or any other personal detail.
The site is funded by advertising and uses a small number of third-party services, described below. Those services — not us — are what set cookies and collect data about your visit.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing that identifies you. We operate no database of visitors, we do not build profiles, and we never sell or rent data. The only information tied to you personally stays in your own browser.
Data stored in your browser
The calendar saves a few preferences in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and are never transmitted to us:

You can clear these at any time by clearing site data for tagday.net in your browser settings. Doing so also erases your consent choice, so the consent banner will ask again.
Advertising
We display ads through Google AdSense (publisher ID
ca-pub-7707235668315709). Google and its partners use cookies and similar
technologies to serve ads and, where permitted, to measure and personalise them. This
may involve information such as your approximate location, device and browser type,
and your prior visits to this and other websites.

If you decline consent, ads may still appear, but they will be non-personalised — that is, based on the page's content rather than on a profile of you.
The site also shows a small number of sponsored banners for our own related projects. These are plain links; clicking one takes you to that site, whose own privacy policy then applies.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-45LH45NC29)
to understand how many people use the calendar and which parts they use — for example
how often visitors switch months, copy a date or open a day. This is aggregate
traffic measurement; it is not used to identify individuals. Google's practices are
described in the
Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics storage is only enabled where consent allows it, as described in the next section.
Your consent choices
The calendar implements Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage are denied by default and stay denied until you actively accept — no advertising or analytics cookies are set before that.
Performance measurement
The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Speed Insights to record anonymous page-loading performance metrics (such as how quickly the page renders). These measurements are not tied to an identity and are not used for advertising. As with any web host, Vercel also processes standard server request data, including IP addresses, in order to deliver the page and protect the service. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.
Content from other sites
The home page lists recent articles from our blogs at covoice.net and pisheru.com. Your browser requests those headlines and images directly from those sites, which means those servers receive your IP address and browser details in the normal course of serving the request. Once you click through to any external site, that site's own privacy policy governs your visit; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Children
The calendar is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data of our own about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on request. Where you have rights over data held by the third parties above — for example, under the GDPR or UK GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority), or under California law (the right to know about and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information) — those rights are exercised through those providers, using the links in the sections above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising described here, which you control through the consent banner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the services it relies on change. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and this page will remain at https://tagday.net/privacy.html.
